Located in the center of the Burgundy village of Puligny-Montrachet, Caveau de Puligny-Montrachet offers a wide selection of regional wines. Julien and Emilien designed the operation to seek out hidden gems and the future stars of the Burgundy wine market. We visited Caveau de Puligny-Montrachet during the Hospices de Beaune auction weekend, so the entire place was buzzing with activity with tourists and wine professionals before midday.
Caveau de Puligny-Montrachet offers visitors the opportunity to taste six wines, generally divided among four whites and two reds, as Chardonnay dominates the local wine production in this part of Burgundy. During our experience, we went right for a bottle of the local area's signature wine. How often does one have an opportunity to drink a Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay in Puligny-Montrachet? We were incredibly impressed with the deep knowledge and excellent service during our time at Caveau de Puligny-Montrachet. If you are in the area, we highly recommend a visit!
