Spanish Wine Scholar Course - English (June - July 2025)

Uncover the world of Spanish wines through Zürich Wine Academy's Spanish Wine Scholar In-Person Program in English. Taught by a world-class wine expert, Master of Wine Candidate, and Certified Sommelier, the comprehensive course spans six 3.5-hour live classroom sessions. Delve into every major Spanish wine region while tasting 36 high quality wines. The program is endorsed by Spain’s Trade & Investment Government Agency, ICEX, and caters to serious wine enthusiasts and industry professionals. Covering La Rioja, The Ebro River Valley, The Duero River Valley, and others, each wine is explored in its regional and cultural context, showcasing local landmarks and traditional cuisines. The program concludes with an in-person exam of 100 multiple-choice questions from the official 315-page study manual. Passing students receive the coveted Spanish Wine Scholar lapel pin and digital certificate, with the option to add SWS to their professional signature. Space is limited to 12 students. All our classes are streamed live and recorded via Zoom for the maximum flexibility of our students. With 24 hours advance notice, we can bottle the wines tasted in class in sterilized 50ml samples for students to taste while watching the recording or live stream.
